About Mariana
Mariana Ampudia is a multilingual educator, fluent in English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian, who has dedicated her career to helping children and teens feel safe, seen, and confident as they navigate life’s challenges. Through mindfulness, expressive arts, and movement, she fosters nurturing, trauma-sensitive spaces where young people can slow down, discover their strengths, and build lifelong well-being.
Since 2015, Mariana has taught with the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness, working with children, teens, families, and underserved communities across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. Her programs help students strengthen self-worth, cultivate joy and gratitude, improve focus, and respond to life’s challenges with compassion—for themselves and others.
Outside of teaching, Mariana enjoys cycling, traveling, and watching sunsets with her husband.
